PolkaCover is pleased to announce the strategic partnership with Orion Protocol.
Built on the most advanced liquidity aggregator ever developed, Orion Protocol aggregates the liquidity of every single crypto exchange into one decentralized platform: providing a singular, non-custodial, gateway to the entire digital asset market.
PolkaCover will offer a white-labeled platform for Orion Protocol to allow its users to purchase Crypto Insurance products instantly through their accounts. Users will have the choice to purchase suitable coverage without the complexity of comparing different offerings within the space.
Crypto Insurance through PolkaCover will be the most reliable products offered within the DeFi insurance space. Our products will be designed by constantly gathering data and insights through empirical research in to safe-guard crypto users from existing and future vulnerabilities.
Through this integration Orion and PolkaCover will be able to provide:
1. Safe Trading Platform:
One of the leading concerns for new users coming on board is the security aspect to trade on any platform. This integration will offer a safety net to users so that they can trade with confidence knowing their funds are safe from exploits, hacks, and rug pulls.
2. Protection against Exchange Hacks:
In case users are trading through Orion on exchanges that get compromised, the exchange hack cover will protect users for their traded assets on those exchanges. Other than offering coverage for users, this integration will embed strong confidence in what Orion Protocol offers as a trading platform.
The integration will create a seamless user experience for Orion users, making crypto insurance products accessible, transparent and easy to purchase on the platform. A major advantage of using Orion protocol is that smart contracts are designed to revert orders in the event that an exchange is experiencing problems. This means that in the event that the trading terminal has a conflict, your funds are protected by Orion, and in the event that Orion’s contracts encounter an unforeseen bug, your funds are covered by PolkaCover.
Polkacover will also provide API’s which will be used by Orion’s Trading platform to feed in real time quotations to the Orion trading platform for all insurance related products. Once the users accept the quotation and proceed to purchase the product they will be asked to pay for the coverage in either BTC/ETH or CVR, the price value will be provided on ramp via PolkaCover oracles.
